Meet Some of Our Teachers

  • Diego Guerra

    Diego Guerra of Monterrey, Mexico, is a violist, violinist, and conductor in California. Guerra has played with and led viola sections of the City Ballet Orchestra of San Diego, Opera de Tijuana in Mexico, the American Youth Symphony, and the SD Youth Symphony, including their China tour in 2015.

  • Kaveh Ketabi

    Kaveh is a classical violinist as well as a music lover. He has over ten years of violin teaching experience. He is currently working on his master degree in violin performance at SDSU School of Music. Kaveh has been performed in multiple symphonies and chamber ensembles. He is currently an assistant principal of second violin at SDSU Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Professor Michael Gerdes. Beside music, Kaveh enjoys outdoor activities and performing at different venues in San Diego.

  • Erdis Maxhelaku

    Erdis’ passion for music has lead him not only to different countries, but also on a musical journey embracing many types of genres; rock, pop, indie, flamenco, metal, and more. He is a sought out recording artist in San Diego, writes and performs his own music, and teachers private lessons.

  • Susan Miller

    Susan started cello in the Oakland Public Schools and soon after started private lessons with Margaret Rowell in Berkeley. Upon winning The International String Congress Competition she studied with Theodore Salzman. After attending workshops with Dr. Suzuki she taught at many summer institutes. She taught art and string orchestra in Moab, Utah. Some of her past honors include: Teacher of the Year, Distinguished Service in Education Award, and Utah Rural Schools Outstanding Middle School Teacher.
